Oregon Grape is a renowned herbal bitter, with a traditional use for sluggish digestion and liver cleansing. Like goldenseal, oregon grape contains the alkaloid berberine, which gives it its signature golden color. Berberine has been shown to support immune system function, which makes oregon grape a good alternative to goldenseal.
Wildcrafted oregon grape root encapsulated in Sodium Lauryl Sulfate-Free Capsules. Oregon grape is a shrub, growing from Colorado to the Pacific Ocean, especially abundant in Oregon and northern California. Hand harvested by our own crew, Oregon grape offers a good replacement for the endangered Goldenseal plant. The root of the plant is harvested and dried at our own facility.
