Bumpy Ball - 1 pc, 6/case, (Sassy)

Roll this wobbly-bobbly bumpy ball to see baby laugh and smile! Brightly colored fabric knobs are easy for baby to grip and hold. Crinkly textures inside the knobs and a musical chime add interest.

Developmental Benefit
The Bumpy Ball encourages development of motor skills because it is fun to grip in a number of ways. First, baby will use two hands to hold the ball and explore it with his mouth. Later, baby will learn to hold the ball in one hand while touching the knobs with the other. Eventually she will learn to pass the ball from one hand to the other. The bright colors, textures, movements and sounds will motivate baby to scoot or crawl towards the ball as it rolls.
  • Helps develop gross motor skills, such as crawling, as well as logic and math skills
  • Largest ring can be placed on top to allow the ring stacker to roll
  • Domed bottom gives toy a wobble motion when placed on hard surface
  • Smallest ring is clear and contains beads that create rattle sound
  • Other rings are molded in bold colors and different textures
  • Plastic ball snaps on top of stacker for convenient storage
Fine Motor Skills
Development of fine motor skills involves planning and motor speed, visual tracking, reaching, object manipulation and grasping. From about 6 months, babies will begin to demonstrate these fine motor skills. The Sassy Bumpy Ball has been designed to help baby with all of the developmental skills.

Gross Motor Skills
Development of gross motor skills include movement of the limbs and torso. Physical coordination such as sitting on own, whole body movement including locomotion and coordination, balance and motor planning are all involved in development of gross motor skills.

6+ Months - Inspire the Senses - 5" x 8.5 " x 5" Shelf-Ready Wrap

SUGGESTED USAGE
  • When baby is very small, shake the ball to one side of baby’s head. Baby will first look with eyes and eventually will turn her head towards the noise.
  • Place the ball in baby’s hand, encouraging her to explore it with her hands and mouth. Show baby how to pass the ball from one hand to the other.
  • Show baby how to drop the ball and then pick it up for her. Make the ball chime as you pick it up. This helps baby learn about distance and direction through both sight and sound.
  • When baby learns to sit up, teach her how to play catch by rolling the ball to her and encouraging her to roll it back to you.
