Rehmannia root is also used in men’s potency formulas, especially combined with Ginseng or Astragalus.
Rehmannia is very popular in Chinese medicine, where it is considered to be a longevity tonic, and one of the 50 fundamental herbs. It is used to treat a plethora of medical disorders, most notably anemia, menopausal symptoms, bleeding, hypoglycemia, and ailments of the heart, kidney, or liver. The species name glutinosa comes from glutinous, referring to the sticky nature of the root. The Rehmannia root offered by Mountain Rose Herbs has been prepared in the traditional way with an infusion of yellow wine and black beans.

SUGGESTED USAGE
The root may be prepared as a decoction. In order to prevent feelings of heaviness or indigestion, prepare with Cardamom or Ginger.
Precautions: This product is not recommended if you are pregnant or nursing. Do not use if you have abdominal pain or diarrhea and discontinue use if these occur.
